Welcome - Solutions - Click Zero Technology Overview
Click Manageware provides a platform that enables organizations to virtualize applications and deploy them as compact, agentless, virtual executables that can run instantly on any Windows desktop. It enables flexible software deployment with centralized management of virtual applications.
Click Manageware's solutions enable IT departments to virtualize any application and deliver it for local processing on any XP or Vista based PC regardless of the host's operating system settings and language. It can also be deployed on 32-bit and 64-bit platforms and server-based computing solutions, such as Citrix XenApp, Windows Terminal Server and Windows-based virtual machines.
Click Manageware provides two deployment solutions for deploying Click Zero Virtual Applications across the enterprise and beyond - The Click Zero Desktop and the Click Zero On Demand Virtual Applications.
Implementing Click Zero solutions do not require any software, agent, client or otherwise to be installed on the host PC or at the data center and enables full application functionality and complete user autonomy on any Windows-based computing environment including non-dedicated and locked-down computers with both on and off-line availabily.
Using Click Zero Solutions, Corporate IT personnel can perform massive application deployment and updates by easily making applications available to Users, Groups and Organizational Units (OU) listed in the Active Directory (AD) server without actually installing anything anywhere.
An additional feature of Dynamic Binding allows Virtual Applications to be updated on the fly. A delta image is created between two versions of the same application (e.g. Firefox 1.9 and Firefox 2.0). When running a Firefox 1.9 package with the Firefox 2.0 delta, the application that will run will be Firefox 2.0. This process is transparent to the end-user and enables unparallel flexibility for IT departments.
The Real Time Interconnectivity feature resembles Microsoft's Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) technology and provides the Virtual Core Engine with the means to dynamically communicate with the Click Zero solution and/or with other Virtual Core Engine files in its vicinity during runtime (without special pre-configuration). This means that one Virtual Application running in its own Virtual Core Engine package can communicate freely with another Virtual Application that is running in a different Virtual Core Engine package.
The Real Time Connectivity Layer allows the Virtual Core Engine to communicate with the non-virtual elements on the host during runtime. This dynamic connectivity capability differs significantly from similar application virtualization technologies, and is a unique feature to InstallFree's implementation solutions. For example, a MS Word Virtual Application can import a MS Excel table component from a MS Excel Virtual Application running in a different virtualized environment.
Virtual Applications are equipped with a patent-pending block-level streaming engine which delivers Virtual Applications and UserData files at block level from the data center to the host PC purely in the host OS's User Mode (as opposed to Kernel Mode based streaming technologies). The Virtual Applications can also simultaneously stream data back to the Data Center, eliminating the need for check-in\check-out synchronization.
The Bi-directional Streaming feature also enables real-time execution of changes made by the IT administrator by checking for changes at a specific interval. Once a change is detected the change takes effect instantaneously.
Click Zero's PowerGuest feature provides read only access to the host computer. This enables end-users to work on locked-down computers with no limitations because nothing is being written to the host computer. Virtual Applications and Desktops have their own set of private and internal account privileges that are completely separate from the host account privileges.
Increased security. The PowerGuest layer grants each Virtual Application with read only access to the host OS and general environment -- meaning that even if an Virtual Application got infected internally it will not cross contaminate the host environment or other applications running side by side.
End-user Productivity. The complete isolation granted by the PowerGuest layer enables end-users to have administrative privileges while the host computer remains secure under a limited account mode (locked-down), meaning that end-users have complete user autonomy and can make changes to their Virtual Applications and Desktops without altering the host computer in anyway.
